At the heart of every strong friendship lies intentional connection. Events, whether big or small, provide a framework for friends to step outside of their every day routine and truly go out there to engage with one another. Because, at the core of every strong friendship are shared experiences. Shared experiences makes friendships grow richer, more resilient and more fulfilling. They give us something to reminisce, something to laugh or cry about and stories to add to conversations.
While day to day interactions and casual check ins are important. True bonds often deepen through meeting up in person, seeing each other face to face. Whether it's going for coffee or dinners, through activities or trips away... It is these moments that helps builds the foundation of lasting memories and relationships.
Think back to our closest friends. Chances are, the bonds built weren't just from chats. They were built through doing things together. The experiences helped break down barriers therefore making you feel more connected as you've been through it together. And these experiences, may not have always been fun. They may have been experiences that were awkward, challenging or even sad. The point is - shared experiences are the glue that holds friendships together.
Friendship is less about one amazing conversation and more about showing up, again and again in each other's lives and stories. The "Remember when we....." are the moments in every great friendship.
